A few years ago, a Navy Seal buddy of mine gave me this London Bridge Trading Company (LBT) Load Bearing Chest Rig to try out. I quickly fell in love with it and have been sporting it ever since, both in desert and jungle environments. I have deployed the rig both slick and with body armor, and it has not disappointed. Like everything in life there are both pros and cons, this chest rig is no different. Keep in mind that while the version being discussed is outdated, you can find new and improved versions on their website.

The use of a laser sight on a handgun is a contentious topic amongst shooters. Some swear by them and others swear at anyone who dares use one. I come down in the middle of the group and see a use for them. While I don’t have a laser on my duty handgun I have chosen to outfit my backup gun with a set of Crimson Trace LG-405 Lasergrips.

The great thing about the Streamlight Sidewinder is that it is truly an all in one flashlight! The Sidewinder Military Model boasts two navigation LEDs (Red/Blue), a dedicated IR LED and the main white light LED.

Lets be honest, drop leg holsters are just cool! But I’m not writing this review just to state the obvious. No, I’m writing because a drop leg holster can become seriously uncool very quickly if not deployed properly. Hence, the Safariland drop flex adapter (DFA)

I purchased the E9 Light Speed Camera Strap a few weeks ago and I have to say that I am impressed. It is extremely well made and completely thought out. The E9 Light Speed Camera strap is a low profile camera strap designed with Combat and Civilian Photographers in mind. It is a scaled down version of their Original E9 Camera Strap.

The M952V is a dual output white light/IR LED with a proprietary integral Swing-Lever rail clamp. The M952V boast two LEDs of which one is a dedicated, unfiltered IR LED (KM3 Bezel). The particular M952V-TN that I have is not the most up to date version that SUREFIRE offers.

I met Dan Laguna and his wife Deonna about a year ago, they were visiting one of their sons who I have known for over four years, and who I proudly call my best friend. That evening, I briefly spoke with Dan and Deonna over dinner and I came away with a respect and desire to learn more about the quiet and humble hero.

For years I have known that it is legal to own a short barreled rifle (SBR) in my state. A short barrel rifle is defined as a rifle having a barrel shorter than sixteen inches. The provision in our state law states possession of an SBR is legal if the firearm is registered with the federal government. You can’t watch an action movie without seeing a very cool looking example of an SBR and having been a responsible gun owner for nearly twenty years I thought that might be a fun addition to my collection.

I came across the Condor Quick Release Plate Carrier about a year or so ago. At the time I was looking for a vest that was capable of holding both soft armor and SAPI plates and most of all it had to be cheap because I was on a budget!

The TLR-1 proved invaluable during field use and provided much needed visibility when working alone at night. The lights’ C-4 LED produces a truly blinding tight beam of light with a substantial amount of peripheral illumination. It’s really difficult to describe just how bright this light is especially now that you can pick up an updated version that is even more powerful, but lets suffice to say that it is very bright (don’t accidentally point it at air support).
